Free online 'Lunch and Learn' - Global Accessibility Awareness Day 21 May 2020

Digital access: from personal journey to W3C developments and beyond

ICT and Digital Government is hosting an online ‘lunch and learn’ to celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD).

Guest presenter Dr. Scott Hollier is the Director of the Centre for Accessibility Initiative and invited expert for the W3C WAI APA Research Questions Task Force (RQTF).

Dr. Hollier will begin with an overview of his life journey, as a person who is legally blind, and discuss the evolution of assistive technologies.

Also Vision Australia’s Charlii Parker will join us to give a short preview on what to expect in our next meetup.

Microsoft’s Manny Silanesu will also close with details on Microsoft’s partnership with South Australian Government to produce an upcoming online accessibility webinar series. This may be of interest to other states as this is a transferable model (built originally through M/Soft and NSW Gov).
